Published May 18, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in ThemeNectar Salient Shortcodes 1.5.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts via icon shortcodes. The icon shortcode processes user-supplied attributes without sufficient input sanitization or output escaping, causing attacker-controlled markup to be stored and rendered. Contributor-level access is required, and the injected script executes in the browser whenever a user visits an affected page.
