CVE-2024-3798Network attack vector

Command execution via forged file parameter requests

Published Jul 10, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024

Cross-site request forgery in Micz Flor Phoniebox 2.7 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute shell commands via crafted GET requests. The htdocs/api/playlist/playsinglefile.php endpoint passes the untrusted file parameter into playback command handling without neutralizing shell syntax. Exploitation requires a user to visit an attacker-controlled page whose browser requests can reach Phoniebox on the local network; payloads can also reflect script or trigger unintended actions.
