Database read and modification via bookmark injection
Published Apr 15, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
SQL injection in SourceCodester QR Code Bookmark System 1.0 allows remote attackers to read or modify database data via bookmark. The delete-bookmark.php endpoint incorporates the bookmark GET value into a MySQL statement without neutralizing SQL syntax, enabling boolean-, error-, stacked-, and time-based payloads. Authentication is absent from the published application, and demonstrated exploitation retrieves the current database name while broader access depends on database privileges.
