DNS spoofing in affected Microsoft Windows Server releases allows remote attackers to expose confidential data through network traffic. Microsoft has not published the DNS server component, message field, or authenticity check that incorrectly accepts untrusted data. Exploitation requires no authentication or user interaction and affects confidentiality only; the public record does not establish cache poisoning or traffic redirection.
