Contributor-level stored script execution
Published Jul 20, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in Meks Smart Author Widget 1.1.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts into pages. Public advisories identify improper neutralization during page generation but do not disclose the affected input, function, or output path. Contributor-level access is required, and injected code executes only when another user visits the stored content, exposing that browser session to script actions.
