Code injection in Nepstech NTPL-XPON1GFEVN firmware 2.0.1 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code through Telnet port 2345. The router exposes a Telnet service that accepts a network connection without credentials and immediately provides a root shell. Network access to the router is the only stated gate; successful access grants root-level command execution and full control of the device.
