CVE-2024-37830Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Open redirect via manipulated OAuth state cookie

Published Jul 9, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Open redirect in Outline 0 through 0.76.1 allows remote attackers to send victim users to malicious sites through a modified state cookie. The OAuth flow uses the modified state cookie value as a redirect destination without rejecting an arbitrary external domain. Exploitation requires interception and modification of a victim's cookie during authentication plus completion of the affected OAuth flow, enabling phishing but not direct code execution or service interruption.
