Session hijacking via reusable magic sign-in link
Published Jul 9, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Session fixation in Outline 0 through 0.76.1 allows remote attackers to hijack a user's session through a crafted magic sign-in link. Opening the attacker's link overwrites an authenticated user's access token with the token embedded in that link, which remains valid after use. The victim must open the link while authenticated; subsequent activity occurs in a session shared with the attacker, exposing entered information.
