CVE-2024-37770Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated command execution via crafted scan URL

Published Jul 10, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Command injection in the fingerprint function in b1ackc4t 14Finger 1.1 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands via a crafted URL. The crawl_site() path appends the submitted URL to a shell command and passes it to Python's subprocess module without neutralizing shell metacharacters. The fingerprint-scanning endpoint requires no authentication, and successful injection runs commands with the server process's privileges.
