Stored script execution via unsanitized form properties
Published Jul 1, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in MachForm 19 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in another user's browser. The save_form.php handler stores fp[name], fp[description], and fp[success_message] values without sanitizing embedded script markup. A signed-in form editor must save the payload, which executes with the application's browser origin when another user later edits the affected form.
