Stored script execution via unsanitized signature input
Published Jul 1, 2024 · Updated Oct 31, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in MachForm before 19 allows remote attackers to run JavaScript in an authenticated result viewer's browser. The view.php submission handler stores unsanitized element_{n}text_signature or paired element{n} input and renders it when a result entry is edited. A public form with a text-signature field must accept the crafted submission, and a user permitted to view results must open the stored entry.
