Authenticated privilege escalation via unchecked role mapping
Published Dec 20, 2024 · Updated Dec 20, 2024
Improper access control in Digiteam 4.21.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to escalate privileges through a role-mapping endpoint. The /RoleMenuMapping/AddRoleMenu endpoint accepts a role-menu mapping without enforcing authorization for that privileged change. A valid low-privilege session is required, and a successful request grants access reserved for a higher-privilege role.
