Published Jun 25, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Improper access control in ETH Zurich Safe Exam Browser 3.5.0 for Windows allows local users to move clipboard data across kiosk isolation. The clipboard manager uses the shared Windows clipboard instead of an isolated store, allowing an external helper to read copied questions and replace them with answers. Exploitation requires a running kiosk exam and a local helper process; it exposes exam content and permits externally sourced answers to be inserted.
