Admin SQL injection via unescaped table name
Published Jun 20, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
SQL injection in DataLife Engine before 17.1 allows remote authenticated users to manipulate database queries through dboption. The dboption handler passes each ta[] table name through safesql, which does not escape backticks, before appending it to an ANALYZE, OPTIMIZE, or REPAIR TABLE query. An administrator session and access to the database-management action are required; the published demonstration changes MySQL histogram metadata.
