Unauthenticated script execution via login username
Published Jun 24, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Cross-site scripting in FineSoft 8.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute browser script through the login form username. The login.jsp response renders a submitted username value without neutralizing script markup, causing the browser to interpret it as executable content. Reaching the login form requires no authenticated session; the demonstration proves execution in the submitting browser, not in another user's session.
