Stored XSS via web-accessible image contents
Published Apr 14, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Stored XSS in Slowlyo OwlAdmin 3.5.0 through 3.5.7 allows remote authenticated users to execute script through an uploaded image. The /admin-api/upload_image handler accepts crafted file contents and publishes the returned object under /storage/images with an .html suffix. High-privilege upload access and a user opening the generated resource are required; the script runs in the site's origin and can expose session data.
