Command injection in TRENDnet TEW-814DAP firmware 1.01.B01 allows remote attackers to execute operating-system commands via diagnostic input. The formSystemCheck handler uses sprintf on ipv4_ping or ipv6_ping input without filtering shell metacharacters, allowing backtick command substitution. The request needs no credentials or user interaction, and the proof of concept demonstrates an injected file-listing command on the access point.
