CVE-2024-37637Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated code execution via unchecked SSID decoding

Published Jun 14, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Stack overflow in TOTOLINK A3700R V9.1.2u.6165_20211012 allows remote attackers to execute code via a crafted 5 GHz SSID. The setWizardCfg function URL-decodes the ssid5g parameter into stack storage without checking whether the decoded value exceeds the destination buffer. The CGI handler is network-reachable without privileges according to CISA, and exploitation can hijack the process or interrupt the router service.
