Stored script execution via unescaped post tag
Published Apr 14, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in emlog Pro 2.2.10 allows remote authenticated users to run scripts through a crafted post tag name. The Post Tag Handler in /admin/tag.php accepts and stores an HTML event-handler payload in a tag name without neutralizing it before rendering. Administrative access is required to save the tag, and execution requires a user to view the affected interface; script execution can expose that user's session data or alter page content.
