Stored XSS via unencoded Whisper content
Published Apr 14, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Stored XSS in emlog Pro 2.2.10 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in an administrator's browser through Whisper content. The Whisper edit handler in /admin/twitter.php stores crafted content and later renders it without context-appropriate output encoding. Administrative access is required to save the payload, and a subsequent page view executes it in the viewer's browser, enabling session-cookie disclosure or page modification.
