Script execution via unescaped spec_group_id reflection
Published Jun 17, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Reflected XSS in StrongShop 1.0 allows remote attackers to execute script in an administrator's browser through a crafted spec_group_id value. The resources/views/admin/product/spec/index.blade.php template inserts request('spec_group_id') into a JavaScript string with Blade's raw-output syntax and no escaping. A victim must load the attacker-crafted URL; the injected script then runs in the StrongShop origin with the victim's browser privileges.
