Privilege escalation via unchecked account-switch permissions
Published Jul 12, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Privilege escalation in Iqbal Rony WP User Switch 1.1.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to access privileged accounts. The account-switching path accepts a target user without correctly validating whether the caller is authorized to switch to that account. Subscriber-level access is required, and the CNA vector also requires user interaction, although the exact interaction is undisclosed.
