Stored script execution via unescaped Empty Calendar setting
Published May 6, 2024 · Updated Nov 21, 2024
Stored XSS in MF Gig Calendar 1.2.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through the Empty Calendar setting. The plugin accepts a closing textarea tag and script in mfgigcal_settings[message], stores the value, and renders it without sanitization or output escaping. Editor-level access or higher is required, and a user must load the affected settings page; multisite sites remain exposed when unfiltered_html is disabled.
