CVE-2024-37532Network attack vector

Identity spoofing via improper signature validation

Published Jun 20, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Identity spoofing in IBM WebSphere Application Server 8.5 and 9.0 allows remote authenticated users to assume another identity. WebSphere's signature-validation path improperly validates a cryptographic signature, but IBM has not disclosed the signed object or faulty check. Exploitation requires an authenticated network session; IBM has not published which identity can be assumed or the resulting authorization boundary.
