File ownership spoofing via unvalidated user identifier
Published May 15, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
IDOR in SP Project & Document Manager 4.71 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to falsify a file uploader's identity. The sp_cdm_link_save_embed AJAX action trusts a caller-controlled uid when saving an uploaded file's ownership metadata. Subscriber-level access and a completed upload are sufficient to attribute the file to another user, altering ownership records without changing that user's account.
