Unauthenticated stored XSS via unsanitized idea submission
Published Jul 21, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in Northern Beaches Websites IdeaPush 8.65 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject web scripts. The idea_push_create_idea function insufficiently sanitizes submitted idea content and later renders it without adequate output escaping. No authentication is required to store the payload, but a user must open an affected page for the script to execute in that user's browser.
