Contributor-level stored XSS via unescaped widget output
Published May 2, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in WPVibes Addon Elements for Elementor 1.13.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts. The Image Stack Group, Shape Separator, Content Switcher, Info Circle, and Timeline renderers place contributor-controlled widget fields into page output without sufficient sanitization or context-appropriate escaping. Contributor access is required to store the payload; the script runs in the browser of anyone who opens the affected page, allowing actions within that visitor's WordPress session.
