Unauthorized notice dismissal via missing nonce validation
Published Jan 2, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
CSRF in Rara Themes JobScout 1.1.4 and earlier allows remote attackers to dismiss administrative notices via forged requests. The jobscout_update_admin_notice() function processes the dismissal without correct WordPress nonce validation, accepting a cross-origin request as the administrator's action. Exploitation requires a logged-in site administrator to click a malicious link or otherwise submit the forged request; the documented consequence is limited to notice dismissal.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
