CVE-2024-37361Network attack vector

Authenticated code execution via nested JSON deserialization

Published Feb 19, 2025 · Updated Feb 20, 2025

Pentaho Business Analytics Server before 10.2.0.0 and 9.3.0.9 allows remote authenticated users to execute code through JSON input. The Interactive Reporting export endpoints pass the user-controlled json parameter to Flexjson, but class filtering applies only to the root object and permits arbitrary classes in nested objects. Any authenticated account can reach the endpoints, and a nested gadget object executes in the server process.
