CVE-2024-37340Network attack vector

Authenticated code execution via Native Scoring pointer dereference

Published Sep 10, 2024 · Updated Aug 10, 2026

Remote code execution in Microsoft SQL Server 2017, 2019, and 2022 allows remote authenticated users to execute code through Native Scoring. Microsoft identifies an untrusted pointer dereference in Native Scoring but has not disclosed the affected function or pointer-handling operation. A low-privilege database account and network reachability are required; successful exploitation executes code in the SQL Server process context.
