CVE-2024-37320Network attack vector

Code execution via OLE DB use-after-free

Published Jul 9, 2024 · Updated Dec 9, 2025

Use-after-free in Microsoft SQL Server Native Client OLE DB Provider allows remote attackers to execute code through a malicious SQL Server. The provider accesses heap memory after releasing it while processing data returned by the attacker-controlled server. Exploitation requires a user to connect the affected client to that server, enabling code execution in the client process context.
