CVE-2024-37310Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Remote heap overflow via wrapped V2GTP length check

Published Jul 10, 2024 · Updated Dec 16, 2024

Integer overflow in the EvseV2G module of EVerest Core allows remote attackers to crash the V2G server with a crafted V2GTP header. v2g_incoming_v2gtp adds the untrusted 32-bit payload length to the header size before validating it, so values near UINT32_MAX wrap and bypass the buffer-size check. The EvseV2G module must be running; an immediate process crash is demonstrated, while reliable code execution has not been established.
