Contributor-level stored XSS via unescaped widget attributes
Published May 2, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in Essential Addons for Elementor 5.9.15 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through widget attributes. Filterable Gallery and Interactive Circle render user-supplied attributes without sufficient sanitization and output escaping. Contributor-level access is required, and the scripts execute when a visitor opens an injected page, allowing browser-context data access or page modification.
