Unauthenticated order-status manipulation via user-controlled key
Published Nov 1, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Authorization bypass in Paid Memberships Pro 3.0.4 and earlier allows remote attackers to mark pending 2Checkout orders as paid. The pmpro_twocheckoutValidate function fails to validate a user-controlled order key before applying the status transition. The public 2Checkout callback requires no account, and exploitation changes order integrity without reported data disclosure or service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
