Subscriber-level settings access via unchecked AJAX handler
Published May 9, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Incorrect authorization in Swift Performance Lite 2.3.6.18 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read and modify plugin settings. The ajax_handler() function processes authenticated AJAX requests without checking the caller's WordPress capability before returning or changing plugin configuration. Subscriber-level access is sufficient, exposing stored settings and permitting unauthorized configuration changes.
