Authenticated note modification via missing capability checks
Published Nov 1, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Missing authorization in Property Hive 2.0.9 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to modify property notes via note requests. Multiple note-handling functions omit the required WordPress capability check, accepting note changes from accounts that lack the intended permission. Subscriber-level access is sufficient, and the demonstrated consequence is limited to modifying notes.
