Denial of service in affected gRPC for Node.js releases allows remote attackers to exhaust memory via crafted incoming messages. Receive paths buffer an over-limit wire message before rejection and fully decompress a within-limit message without enforcing the configured post-decompression limit. A network-reachable gRPC peer must accept the crafted message; the resulting memory pressure can interrupt the hosting process.
