Local code execution via path traversal
Published Jul 31, 2024 · Updated Jul 24, 2026
Path traversal in Dell Inventory Collector before 12.3.0.6 allows local users to execute arbitrary code through crafted input. Dell has not published the affected file-handling locus or the path operation that fails to confine attacker-controlled input. Exploitation requires local authenticated access, high-complexity conditions, and user interaction; successful exploitation runs attacker-controlled code on the system.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
