Unauthenticated stored XSS via missing capability check
Published Nov 1, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Missing authorization in WishList Member X 3.26.6 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject stored scripts through plugin settings. An unnamed settings-update function accepts unauthenticated changes because it omits a WordPress capability check, allowing script content to be stored. No account is required to change the settings; the stored script executes when affected content is later viewed.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
