Contributor-level stored XSS via unescaped CSS class
Published Jul 13, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Stored XSS in WP Chill Image Photo Gallery Final Tiles Grid before 3.6.0 allows remote authenticated users to run scripts in admin browsers. The Additional CSS class on A tag gallery field accepts quote-breaking input and returns it in generated anchor markup without validation or escaping. Contributor access is sufficient to save the payload, and execution occurs when a higher-privileged user interacts with the affected gallery, allowing actions in that user's WordPress session.
