Notice dismissal via missing nonce validation
Published Nov 1, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
CSRF in Envira Gallery 1.8.7.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to dismiss administrative notices through forged requests. The notice-dismissal function accepts a state-changing request without correct WordPress nonce validation. Exploitation requires an administrator to act on an attacker-controlled link or equivalent request, and the bounded effect is removal of notices.
