CVE-2024-37087Network attack vector

Unauthenticated service interruption via uncontrolled memory allocation

Published Jun 25, 2024 · Updated Oct 31, 2024

Denial of service in VMware vCenter Server 7.0 before U3q and 8.0 before U3 allows remote attackers to interrupt its service. The License Server fails to validate user-supplied data before allocating memory, permitting attacker-controlled allocations. No authentication or user interaction is required; Cloud Foundation 4.x and 5.x deployments inherit the affected component, and the disclosed impact is limited to reduced availability.
