Device crash via crafted HTTP request
Published Jun 12, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Unchecked return handling in Schneider Electric SAGE RTU firmware through C3414-500-S02K5_P8 allows remote attackers to crash the device. Schneider Electric has not identified the HTTP-processing function or the failed operation whose return value is ignored; a crafted HTTP request reaches the undisclosed path. No authentication or user interaction is required, and successful exploitation interrupts the RTU until service is restored.
