Stored XSS via unescaped slider padding attributes
Published May 3, 2024 · Updated Nov 29, 2024
Stored XSS in Sayful Islam Carousel Slider before 2.2.10 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through slide options. The Hero Carousel editor stores slider-padding values without validation or escaping and inserts them into generated slide markup as attributes. Editor-level access is required to save the payload, and a visitor must view the embedded shortcode output and interact with a generated slide to trigger it.
