CVE-2024-37002

Code execution via uninitialized MODEL parser memory

Published Jun 25, 2024 · Updated Aug 27, 2025

Use of uninitialized memory in Autodesk AutoCAD-based products allows remote attackers to execute code via a crafted MODEL file. In ASMkern229A.dll, the MODEL parser accesses memory before properly initializing it, allowing attacker-controlled file data to affect execution. A target must visit a malicious page or open the file; successful exploitation runs code with the application's privileges and can terminate its process.
