CVE-2024-3700

Patient database disclosure via shared hard-coded password

Published Jun 10, 2024 · Updated Oct 3, 2025

Use of a hard-coded password in Estomed Simple Care in all versions allows attackers to retrieve sensitive patient database records. The database connection reuses one embedded password across every installation, so that fixed credential authorizes access to patient data. Exploitation requires local access and knowledge of the shared password; published details establish data retrieval but do not identify the database interface.
