Published Jul 1, 2024 · Updated Feb 28, 2025
Stored XSS in Splunk Enterprise and Splunk Cloud Platform allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in another user's browser. A low-privileged user without the admin or power role must submit a malicious bulletin, and another user must view it for script execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=9.0 <9.0.10
- Affected versionversion=9.1 <9.1.5
- Affected versionversion=9.2 <9.2.2
