Service disruption via unchecked GPU exception codes

Improper validation in Linux allows local users to disrupt AMD KFD debuggers and runtimes through invalid CP exception codes. The KFD interrupt workers for GFX 9, 10, and 11 accepted CP_BAD_OPCODE exception values without confirming that their codes were valid packet exceptions. Exploitation requires local low-privilege access to an affected AMD KFD environment; published evidence limits the consequence to availability disruption.
