Authenticated host file read via filter import
Published Oct 8, 2024 · Updated Oct 9, 2024
Path traversal in AdGuard Home before 0.107.53 allows remote authenticated users to read host files through the filter-list interface. The /control/filtering/add_url handler accepts an absolute path as a custom filter source, then copies any service-readable file into a world-readable filter cache without checking it against an allowed path set. Dashboard credentials and a file readable by the service are required; root-run installations expose privileged host data such as password hashes.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
