Unauthenticated database manipulation via raw UPDATE query
Published Jun 6, 2024 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
SQL injection in SourceCodester Stock Management System 1.0 allows remote attackers to read or alter database data via crafted POST input. The php_action/editCategories.php handler directly interpolates editCategoriesName, editCategoriesStatus, and editCategoriesId into an UPDATE statement without validation or parameter binding. No login or authorization is required; database-account privileges bound the ability to disclose, modify, delete, or interrupt stored data.
